Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ReachHound ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by a sole proprietorship registered in Hungary, and these Terms are governed by Hungarian law and EU regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Description of Service

ReachHound is an audience-research tool that turns your app and its competitors into a ranked map of the channels where your audience already gathers, with public evidence behind each pick. The Service includes:

  • Creating maps by entering your app name, app URL, and up to five competitors
  • Ranked channels — such as subreddits, communities, newsletters, YouTube channels, podcasts, directories, and press — scored using publicly available mentions and evidence
  • Keyword ideas, on-page SEO comparison, competitor pricing snapshots, and content-gap suggestions
  • Outreach draft assistance that runs on your device, and saved outreach status and notes
  • Public "Discover" pages that aggregate channels by category from published maps

The Service works from the app and competitor details you type in. It does not require you to connect or grant access to any third-party account.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You can register with:

  • A valid email address and your full name
  • A secure password meeting our requirements (minimum 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character), or
  • A Google account, a GitHub account, or a passwordless magic sign-in link sent to your email

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the information you provide

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Plans and Subscriptions

ReachHound is a paid product with no free tier. We may offer recurring monthly or yearly subscriptions and one-time products. The plan type, billing period, price, included features, and any applicable trial or promotional terms shown at checkout apply to your purchase. Unless cancelled, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

4.3 Billing Address

During checkout, you will be required to provide a valid billing address for invoice generation purposes.

4.4 Invoicing

Electronic invoices are generated through Billingo, our invoice management system, in compliance with Hungarian tax regulations. Invoices are sent to your registered email address upon successful payment.

4.5 Currency

Prices and the applicable billing currency are displayed before checkout. Your bank or payment provider may apply exchange rates or additional fees.

4.6 Discount Codes

We may offer discount codes for promotional purposes. Discount codes are subject to specific terms and conditions, including expiration dates and usage limits.

4.7 Map Allowance

Each paid plan includes a set number of maps you can create per calendar month. Map usage is counted per calendar month, and deleting a map does not restore your allowance for that month. Unused allowance does not roll over.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Satisfaction Guarantee

We offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a refund within the refund window stated in our refund policy and at the time of purchase.

5.2 Refund Process

To request a refund:

  • Submit a refund request through your account dashboard
  • Our team will review your request (approval typically required)
  • You will receive a refund confirmation email upon approval
  • Refunds are processed through Stripe to your original payment method
  • Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days

5.3 Refund Eligibility

Refunds are subject to the following conditions:

  • Request must be made within the refund window stated at the time of purchase
  • Account must not have violated these Terms
  • Full refunds may be granted at our discretion
  • Certain products may have different refund policies, which will be clearly stated at the time of purchase

6. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload or share malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Use channels, contacts, or drafts produced by the Service to send spam or to violate the rules, terms, or anti-spam laws of any platform or recipient you contact
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service without permission
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 Service Ownership

The Service, including its design, features, functionality, code, graphics, and content, is owned by the operator and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Content

You retain your rights to the inputs you provide — your app and competitor details — and to the notes and outreach content you create using the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your User Content as needed to operate the Service and generate your maps. Channels, evidence, keywords, and similar results are compiled from publicly available sources and a shared catalog, and are not exclusive to you.

7.3 Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for your User Content and how you use the results. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to the content you provide
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your content and your outreach do not violate any applicable laws

8. Data Storage and Backups

We use database services to store account information, your maps and project data, and billing records. However:

  • We are not responsible for data loss due to technical failures, security breaches, or force majeure events
  • You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content
  • We recommend exporting or keeping a copy of any map results and notes you wish to retain
  • Deleted account data may be recoverable for a limited time at our discretion, but permanent deletion may occur

9. Service Availability and Modifications

9.1 Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

9.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

9.3 Updates

We may update the Service with new features, improvements, or security patches. Access to updates and features depends on your current plan and entitlement.

10. Account Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may cancel a recurring subscription through the available billing controls and may request account closure by contacting us. A cancelled subscription normally remains accessible until the end of its current paid period. Cancellation or account closure does not entitle you to a refund unless you are eligible under the Refund Policy.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your account is used for fraudulent or illegal activities
  • You engage in behavior that harms the Service or other users
  • Required by law or court order

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
  • We may delete your User Content after a reasonable period
  • You should save any map results and notes you wish to retain before termination
  • Provisions regarding intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution will survive termination

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
  • CHANNEL RANKINGS, EVIDENCE, KEYWORDS, PRICING SNAPSHOTS, AND CONTACT DETAILS ARE COMPILED FROM PUBLIC SOURCES AND MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR INACCURATE; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THEM AND FOR YOUR OUTREACH
  • WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM
  • WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA LOSS, SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, OR THIRD-PARTY ACTIONS

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Service operator, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your User Content
  • Your outreach to third parties
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us to seek an informal resolution of any dispute.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service
  • Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
  • If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Service, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
